A profile photo is often the first professional impression someone has of you — before they read your CV, before they know your work. On LinkedIn, a company website or a trade magazine, a dated, badly lit or rushed portrait says the opposite of what you want to convey. That's why I shoot corporate portraits and professional headshots for LinkedIn and companies: refreshing that image is one of the most cost-effective investments in your professional presence.
My starting point is to photograph people in their real environment — office, factory, library, an outdoor space — rather than a neutral studio backdrop. The setting says something about who the person is and what they do, and gives the portrait context and personality. An executive in a glass corridor, a technician on the factory floor, an author beside the shelves: each setting adds layers to the story.
Most people tell me they're «not photogenic». Almost always, the problem isn't the person — it's the direction. My job is to control the light, give simple posing cues and create a relaxed atmosphere so each professional feels at ease. That's where the natural expression appears, the one that makes a portrait work.
The result has to be versatile and current: framing that works square for LinkedIn and wide for the website, with consistent light and colour grading so a whole company team looks part of the same set. I deliver ready-to-use files, optimised for web and print.
I shoot these sessions for direct clients who want to update their LinkedIn, for companies refreshing their website's institutional image, and for trade magazines.
