Certified Aerial Video
Cinematic aerial drone video for industry, infrastructure and events. Certified operation.

Aerial drone photography shows what no ground-level camera can show: the scale of a naval shipyard, the size of a construction site, how a factory sits in the territory around it. I run certified aerial operations in Portugal, with paperwork and insurance in order, for industry, infrastructure and corporate events.
I deliver aerial imagery as video and as stills, integrated with ground-level capture, so the drone shot belongs to the narrative instead of sitting at the end as a loose extra. Below you'll find what I film, how I prepare each flight, what you receive at the end and the questions I am asked most often.

01
Ships in dry dock, yard operations and the scale of repair works, by day and by night.
Industrial and naval photography02
Factories, workshops, large-scale structures and loading operations on the quay.
Industrial drone video03
Construction progress, access routes, quays and facilities seen from above, for monitoring and for communication.
04
Aerial shot of the venue, group photo from above and the context of the location to open the video.
Corporate events05
Cork oak landscapes, agricultural estates and natural scenery, for sustainability communication.
Cork in Rio Frio06
Time-lapse sequences, aerial and ground, to show a whole operation in a few seconds.
07
High-resolution aerial stills for annual reports, institutional websites and press.
Every flight in Portugal requires authorisation from the authorities. Before sending a proposal I check the airspace over the site, file the request for the planned date and time, and say clearly what is possible and what is not.
Certified aerial operation, registered equipment and public liability insurance. In industrial facilities I also follow the client's safety plan and sign non-disclosure agreements when required.
I bring more than one aerial platform, with different capabilities, and use whichever serves the shot: wide, cinematic moves, or closer detailed approaches in tight space.
Light changes everything in an aerial image. We agree on sunrise, sunset or lit-up twilight based on what the client wants to show, not on whichever hour is most convenient to travel.
I film at ground level on the same visit, so the final video alternates between the scale seen from above and the detail of the work up close.
Before the flight we define what has to appear: the structure, the ship, the work face, the brand in view. That avoids a second trip.

The ship-repair yard in Setúbal, on the Sado river, is where I fly most regularly: ships in dry dock, bulbous bow retrofits, the yard lit up at twilight and the scale of the works seen from above. The full survey is in Shipyard, Aerial View.
Outside the naval world, I have aerial imagery of heavy metalwork in Setúbal, of the cork oak landscape in Palmela, of industrial facilities and of event venues in Lisbon. I wrote about combining drone and timelapse in ship repair video at Lisnave.

Yes. In Portugal every drone flight requires authorisation from the authorities, filed for the specific location, date and time. I handle that process, and because it takes time, the sooner I know the date and the site, the better. If the site sits in restricted airspace and the plan is not feasible, I say so straight away instead of promising shots that cannot be made.
Yes. Certified aerial operation, registered equipment and public liability insurance. In industrial facilities I also follow the client's safety plan and the site's access procedures.
It depends on the length of the capture, the number of locations and what needs to be delivered: aerial stills only, video only, or both with editing. Tell me where it is and what you want to show, and I send a quote quickly.
A drone does not fly in strong wind or rain. When the day gives no conditions, we reschedule the capture, and the rescheduling terms are set out in the proposal from the start.
Both. Many clients want the video for communication and the aerial stills for the annual report and the press, and both come out of the same flight session.
Yes, with an authorised night flight plan. Only companies and pilots certified by ANAC, or holding an opinion from the Portuguese National Aeronautical Authority, may request night flights, so it is a request that has to be prepared in advance. The yard lit up at twilight and at night is one of the shots I make most often.
Anatomy of a dry dockYes, across the country, and I combine the aerial capture with ground-level coverage on the same trip so costs are not duplicated.
